How Many Guitars do you own

My latest two. A G&L Legacy and a BC Rich Mockingbird. This makes a dozen now, I can't stop myself, the Rich was a great deal at The Music Farm in Ohio.

Do you HAVE to record drums first?

Yes... That is the way I do it, and I can't say I have perfect timing. Since I play most of the guitar parts in my recording projects, I do drums after I get one or two guitars recorded. I have no problem changing timing or time sig changes with the click, then recording drums over that. Doug

    the right pick?

http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_snarling_dogs_tin_box_brain_picks?full_sku=103656187 I have been using these for the last few years, when I first used them, they almost felt like they had too much grip. They really stick in your hand. I use the 2 fattest sizes. 1.00 and 1.14. Doug

    Neil Peart

It was actually the 1970's that Peart was dominating. It's always easy 30+ years later to say, oh, he's not that good, but if you were around back then, you thought nobody could touch him. We all learned from him, and drummers today SHOULD be better because of him. Does anybody really think...

Actual size of VS2400CD? Desk/workstation issue....

The footprint of my VS2400 is 19 x 19 the height is about 4.5 in back and 3.25 in front. I would think that you might want 3-6 inches clearance in the back for incoming and out going connections. Doug

    A few VS2400 questions

I have used the mic modelers some, but can't say they are good or bad. I really have put less and less of anything in the signal path. I think the effects in the roland unit are just ok. The delays, chorus, reverbs..they are usable. The guitar patches are not. I know for awhile roland was...

    A few VS2400 questions

I have owned the VS2400 for about 2 yrs, before that, the VS840. I can't really answer your questions on the delta, don't know anything about those. I have never tried to export to PC anything from my VS unit, never had a reason. It seems most guys on this sight go the PC route. I started...

    Line 6 ToneCore Pedals

I own both the echo park and Uber metal, both very versatile, lots of tone possibilties with the metal pedal, and the EP has lots of options also. The units are very heavy (weight) and sound great. Like with all pedals, you should go listen to them at a music store if you can. Doug

Tube Amp vs. Line 6 Toneport

This subject comes up often and will have people on both sides. I only record from amps because I can, some people don't have the option of cranking one up all the time. I hear the toneport is a good unit. The thing I notice more than just tone quality (which can be debated) is the ease of which...
