    Song called Despair

Really good sounding! What synth are you using (or maybe sampler?) And those backing vocals are just perfect (doubled or krhm... tuned?). Really jefflynneish sound.

please let me know what you think!

Thanks for the info. You got some same gear that I use... well we all use sm57. And yes... sans amp rules! Have you ever tried it with drums?

Is it common for drummers to record to a click track?

Yep. You´re right dave. It´s really just that one time I´ve had that kind of situation. More often we´ve had no trouble playing guitars first. But I think it´s propably a more used way to do the drums first... ¤peace¤

    Anyone demoed/used Mackie HDR 24/96?

Both of these compared sound good. But I´m more interested of the possibility to use monitor, keyboard and a mouse with the mackie. The thing I would like to know would be that is the mackie as stable as - for example - Pro Tools. I mean that if it´s just like any pc or mac i´d go with those...

what equipment would I need to...

For internet broadcast you would need - ofcourse - a computer with internet connection - as fast as possible! Then a server software for ex. RealServer (RealAudio form) or shoutcast server (for mp3 broadscast). Then you just connect your audio source - LIVE or pre-recorded - from the mixer to...

please let me know what you think!

Hey I like these. The beginning of "Hole" was first a little odd but when it gets "started" its fun. I like the vocal(s) - these double things are cool. "Society" is a great pop song. Guitars sound good (raw enough) =) I like the drums also. There´s this room sound which I aim to. Yep. Give us...

There´s a new kid in town!

Thank you gibs! Very kind words. About the mix... I were´t done much of that then so I´m not totally satisfied myself. But I don´t think I´m going for a remix. (I´ve thought about a remake but we´ll see...)

Is it common for drummers to record to a click track?

That´s right Diragor. When I moved to computer based recording (cubase on a mac) it was obvious to use a click. I´ve used it before either but it really helps the editing when you see it with bars. I´ve played with a simple "click" sound but there were sometimes problems to get to the feel of...

    Favourite Drummers

Here´s my favourites (at this moment): Chad Smith is allready mentioned but he´s groovy. I like ghost notes myself and this guy does it with style. One part that plays in my head is "walkabout" from the "one hot minute". Listen to that ghost jamming... One that I´ve listened to lately is this...

There´s a new kid in town!

There´s a new kid in town... Here´s an old song that I made in 1997 as my high-school craduate work. I wrote the song and played all instruments. My brother made the lyrics and sang it. It´s done with a 16 track analog tape machine with an old Atari (computer) - running notator (from e-magic)...
