    New Setup

Well to tell the truth...I've heard Orange cabs and I heard the Behringer cabs. Many friends have been telling me Vintage 30's are the way to go. However, no one seems to have any of these pieces of equipment in my town. Also...the Behringer cab switches from 8 to 16 ohms as does the head..so...

    Sorry to waste your time...

This is a really bad recording..(quality, vocals, etc.). And I understand that this is a mixing clinic, but to any critical ears out there I would love to hear your opinion on the song. Maybe a better recording will come soon, but we are 15 years old and broke :D www.purevolume.com/morningedition

    Vintage 30's???

Well I have taken a step up to a Crate Blue Voodoo tube head. However, I still am using a Behringer cabinet. I have heard from numerous people that Vintage 30's will make your head sound so much better and also louder. Is it worth it to buy a cabinet equipped with these over Jensen speakers? I'm...

    1970's Rogers Kit

oh yes. It's so big that it is hard to tune. I don't really use it though, i set up the 14 on the rack and use the 15 as a floor tom mounted on a cymbal/tom stand.

    Help with tube head

I have a Crate Blue voodoo head, and it is much different recording than my previous heads. I don't have much equipment for recording my band...so how would you go about recording this without all of the buzz and dirty noise you get when sending a tube sound to the computer?? Ludwig LM410

I have an older Ludwig LM410 Supersensitive Supraphonic snare drum that I no longer have use for. This particular model is supposedly the most recorded drum in history. This drum was garagekept for a few years then given to me. I have done as much as i can to clean it up and get a great sound of...

    $450 drum set?

Take a look at them individually: crash/ride http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=perc/product/reviews/base_pid=441368/rpp=10/ and hi-hats http://www.music123.com/Sabian-B8-Hi-Hats-i56243.music these are the same cymbals, just in a pack. Looks like a 4/5 on average. Not bad for a starter.

    $450 drum set?

Well, I have B8's and personally love them. I've used the ZBT's at a friends house and the ride seems to be good, the crash is gongy and and the high hats are tin canny like. The guy that left the review for the B8's is probably a guy whos been a drummer for 7 years thats buying them for a...

    $450 drum set?

Is this his first drumset? If so, get him something that sounds good, but doesnt cost too much money. If it doesnt sound good, he will get frustrated and quit. Try to get someone to tune the set. You can get pretty much any drums to sound decent and playable with proper tuning...
