I like this effect- it's a lot like chorus, but less gritty: Duplicate your vocals, Take an autotuner to one of them, and detune it by very little. Your vocals will thicken up right away, and there'll be no weird delays on consonants. Add a third and detune it a little more for even thicker effect.

You could go to a concert for an artist that sounds similar to you, and then hand out download cards (cheaper than cds, but if you feel like cds, go for it.) I get business cards on vista print pretty cheap

I'm not asking the bands to advertise eachother. I'm putting bands together on compilations so when bands' fans grab the compilation, they get exposed to other similar artists - and not just any artists, but the ones we hand pick, so we're not just shoveling crap down people's throats...
