Thanks, the kick drum was tough because the drummer used a floor tom with a pedal on it and all it really was was a woof, no real attack. I couldn't really find a way to make it punch

I use passive 1980's Sony 10" stereo speakers. Surprisingly, they're very true sounding and my mixes translate really well to other speakers

I need a bass drum mic that can double as a mic to be put on a bass cab. I'm looking at the Shure Beta 52A but have heard great things about the Sennheiser e602II. I record just about every style of music so that has been my problem in picking one. Thank you guys!

Only as EQ and reverb. It maxes out the meter so I mute the channel (usually happens on a group channel but sometimes on an individual tracks) but then after a minute or so it stops.

So sometimes when I open a project in Cubase LE 4, one channel will crackle so loud that it is tossed to the top of the meter and is almost deafening. If I mute the track, it stops and after a few minutes, the track will be fine and everything plays as it was. Does anyone know what this is and...

I don't have a mixer yet but I would get a 16 track mixer to use a 16 track reel to reel. I plan on converting everything to digital after putting it on tape to mix there

I'm just getting into and learning about tape and I'm very interested in getting something. I'd like to get an 8 or 16 track and if it has all 8 or 16 VU meters, that's even better (I just like the look of it a lot). Something not way to expensive but not a starter model. Thanks!
