I got it to work, but when I try to record, I can hear my microphone when I wear the headphones, but when I record, there's no meter on the track meter I don't understand this

Interesting. The only other limitation that is making me question it is the 2.0 usb port on the back. I only have a standard usb port. Otherwise, i'd probably purchase the tascam over the MR8.

I've been thinking about it, but it is unfortunate that it doesn't come with xlr inputs. How would you connect an XLR mic to the Tascam recorder anyway? is it possible?
