ya, I did the cable thing...got close, but I would have to move the kick drum itself to get it equidistant to the kick & snare...with the double bass drum pedal he uses its near impossible...but it is close, and I think when I post the sound tomorrow...it sounds worlds better!

I am not sure how to reverse the phase on the kick, I have a Mackie 1604 VLZ. Also, how high above the snare do you put the OH? So you think that is why the kick sounds like crap? Its out of phase?

yes...this belt DOES make me look fat :) ok...lets start with the kick...I am not thrilled with the sound either...We took off the outer head...put a pillow in it, and the mic is on the outside of the drum pointed at about the beater.

can you use the B1 & b3 at the same time? how would you position it?

try hitting F3 for the R-l, as for midi....no idea sorry.

bulls...Thank you very much for giving that a whurl...seems like I am overpowering the mic, and the sound is not savable. I am going to pick up a kick drum mic tonight and give that a try...I will post again after that...THANKS!

no problem...those issues can be VERY annoying...especially when you have a band waiting for you to figure it out :(

did it show a spike in the levels when it did this? Sometimes I have noticed SX is exceptionally sentive to power surges. It will spike (usually all the tracks at once) and make similar noises to what you are getting...also look out for a feedback loop...and finally make sure you are using the...

has anyone used the B1 on a kick drum and got a good sound? If so I would LOVE to know how as I am striking out big time!
