How is your POD PRO connected?

the PA is a great way to do it, in fact I have been getting the guys to run into the PA for practice to get a better mix of sound...you can hear car wrecks better that way. Now if only the drummer would turn down :(

    near insanity

ok, I am doing a cross country project and I am about to go loony toons! I am running Cubase SX & Cool Edit Pro, my brother in Arizona is running CEP. So, I record the tracks in SX, then import them one at a time to CEP. he works on it, and I will put the track in SX or CEP, depending on my...

How is your POD PRO connected?

I am sorry, I think I misunderstood the question the first time...for when I play live I have a marshall 50 watt amp (plenty loud enough for 98% of all situations and not as heavy and cumbersome as stacks) I go from the POD Pro to the return section in the back of the amp so as to bypass the...

How is your POD PRO connected?

I run a pod pro through the mic cables, I then run it into the tube side of my presonus firestation...My brother has the pod 2, and I run that into the presonus as well. Like the sound a lot.

    carving the turkey

Also, at about 45 seconds, I can't quite tell if I have a phase issue, if I do, its just when he does that one type of cymbal hit (hapens about 3 times in the song)...the question is...if it IS in fact phase, is it worth repositioning the mics and risk getting phase elsewhere? Can I save this...

    Stupid Drums!

I will go look today and let you know...I completely changed the entire mic set up, and replaced the sound file...it made a WORLD of difference! Although right around 45 seconds in, I am hearing what MAY be phase...it only happens twice in the song, so I am not quite sure that it is... Oh ya...

    carving the turkey

    carving the turkey

all the mics have been moved from that previous pic...including the kick mic. The room is all concrete, except for some bass trap style wood I put on the ceiling. I also put up some other stuff to keep it from being so rectangular. The way I was micing before was a total nightmare, I think...

    carving the turkey

here we go...no eq, pannned the left and right @ 10 & -10, no compression, no reverb. I used the recorderman technique...it does seem to work much better...tell me what you think. http://www.foxytravel.com/YE/mixdowns/far_away%20sb.mp3
