like anything else...it takes practice...I am still trying to strike balance between letting frequencies through and having the sound too tinny, and not letting enough through and it sounding muddy...but its a great place to start, and many times you find out things don't need to be retracked as...

YEEEESSS...KILL IT! We have a couple drop D songs...man I would be on stage for what seemed to be an hour tuning that damned thing! I finally epoxied a bunch of nickels together and put it in the cavity...BAM...no more tuning problems!

I will work on that, my first mix was very muddy...so maybe I was a bit liberal with the cuts in the low end. The vocalist (not me unfortunatly) does have a really great voice...you should hear him do Bare Naked Ladies...it is spot on! I have really wanted to be able to double track him more on...

also went very light with the compression. panned out the guitar and drums (overheads) some more, and toned down the vocals effects in the chorus.

first place I would check is the recording mixer for windows. It took me a while to find that one too when I first started using CEP!

that guitar sound is REM circa Murmur/ Reconing...vocals are kind of dead milkmen ish...very different...cool.

I would actually love to know how you did the chorus vocally...sounds awesome! like the tune a lot, but is it clipping for anyone else? I would agree on the ending...I think I would like to hear...if you staaaaaaaaay...done.

try cutting from about 100hz on down on the bass guitar...if you don't like how the bass sounds then...add the 100hz back in...but I have found that you need to get rid of 80hz on the bass guitar to let the kick drum through
