Cubase Elements & Artist V9 - page mode in scores

looks like you have this issue pretty well addressed at the Cubase forums, yes? But in case you don't see it- I have some free time this weekend. If you want to email me all the files, I could convert them into pdfs for you.

Considering a purchase of a Shure SM7B for my first XLR setup

You will be OK with the Scarlett It's quiet. Latency is it's big struggle.. but that's not an issue with this signal chain.

How to recording multi track for drum set with Mixer YAMAHA MG16XU 16-Input 6-Bus !!!

SO .. what people are saying is; It might be that a mixer is not actually the best tool for this job. If you wanna back up a little, maybe we can better advise you? What are you trying to do? Record drums alone in-studio? Live?

    Mixer/PC help

Ha ha. Don't listen to the haters. Try the recording-in-mono thing- you should be able to get a good signal. You absolutely lose nothing by recording in mono. We trust you can find your way to the gear/DAW forums if you want any advice on new stuff...and the many other resources here on the...

    Mixer/PC help

I agree, obviously. Better gear often simplifies things. And that Scarlett box has monitoring built in. But he should be technically capable with the stuff he has, no? If not asthetically ideal :) People have done more with less!

    Mixer/PC help

If you go mono- it should be separate. And it should NOT sound any worse than going stereo. The only downside should be having the track in one ear only. I would be very surprised if the recording of your single mic sounds any different running in mono vs stereo.

What DAW do you guys recommend?

Cubase fits that bill. Good MIDI implementation. Arrangement is a breeze. It's in version 9 and has been around forever. But Reaper is ALSO well regarded- you maybe have workstation troubles? These instruments- are they third party?

    Mixer/PC help

Ah. I understand. So - this is a probably mixer limitation. The workaround with THIS mixer is to record mono, sending the return track to the other, non recorded side.. Essentially-- just send the LEFT main output to your computer. Your vocals are just dual-mono anyway, so nothing is lost...

    Mixer/PC help

though- this is the mixer setup I would use. Tell me if it is what you did: MIC --> Mixer input #1 (XLR) MIXER MAIN OUTPUT --> Computer audio line in (via EITHER WHITE RCA OUTS->1/8" or Main 1/4" outs to 1/8") COMPUTER Headphone output --> Mixer "2-track in" (via 1/8" to RED RCAs) Headphones...

    Mixer/PC help

Hey dude. You are totally right- this is possible. What DAW are you using? Also- can you put a picture of your Mixer setup? Or describe your routing more precisely? My first guess here would be that you need to make sure the "2-TRK TO MIX" button is NOT pressed.

What DAW do you guys recommend?

Anything. Reaper should be fine. What don't you like about it? And what is your price range? I use Cubase, which is great. There is a lot of religion on this topic though.... so take it all with a grain.

Can anyone tell me what type of lead I need to connect a cd/mp3 player to the 355?

Yeah I think I would just use a standard 1/8 stereo to 1/4 mono cable, right? Like this.. but obv stereo.

    Hybrid setup with cubase

You dont even need to use "group" or "FX" channels. Just setup an audio input and output for each physical I/O.. (if this part is labled intuitively, the whole thing will be intuitive) then set up an audio track in cubase with the INPUT from your aux or group send, and OUTPUT to your return...

Cubase 5 for beginners: Click Problem

Cubase 5 for beginners: Click Problem

Wow. I can try and help- but I am not running Cubase 5. That said- this sounds like a routing problem. Lets start front the beginning- 1. What interface are you using? 2. Are you using any of your laptops built-in jacks and things? It reads like you amp is inputting there, and not this USB...
