Plus it's kind of shitty.
I always encourage people to ASK PERMISSION before using anyone's work- especially indie stuff. Just ask, they usually say yes.
Of course..a big movie, maybe you don' know who to ask or whatever... but it is still shitty to just take it. So ask- if they say no, or...
if it reassures you.. I saw a considerable improvement in latency in Vstis moving from a Scarlett to a Steiny UR824... from not even playable to not really noticeable.
You should expect playable output latencies using the UR.
But if you DON'T see improvement under C5.. just upgrade. No one...
Hey!
So I listened to this.. and I like the composition.
Here are my immediate responses. Please don't take them the wrong way. It's not personal. And maybe not even constructive.. but they are my reactions :)
a- those keyboards sound super fake.
b- those drums sound super fake.
c- the...
There should be no latency problems using a drum plug.
Especially for rehearsal only.
Your Mac can totally supply drums for that.
You will only run into latency problems if you try a software based keyboard plugin...or you intend to use any effects from your Mac on your instruments or vocals.
I am sure that, like everyone, I have a few favorites and that is about it.
I don't use any 'exciters' or amp modelers or anything like that.. but I certainly am a big fan of Eventide's reverbs and pitch shifting... which I think are emulations of their own hardware.
Other than those, mostly...
I did!
I like yours, too! That finish is great. I wanted to make a slanted one . .. But they throw me off while playing.
Nola- You gotta make your own. Get different cable if your stuff is unweildy.
I would change interfaces again, or just uninstall the drivers and try to really sort out if the Tascam is doing this.
BSOD is usually a hardware/driver problem these days... so maybe a different driver would help? can that thing use asio4all?
Is there an error code?
I would say keep things separate. An all-in-one is NOT a good idea. .. especially a BERRY.
A berry control surface may well be perfect forever.. but HOPEFULLY you eventually want something better sounding from a preamp perspective eventually. Then you find yourself having to get a new control...
Define the boxes you want checked.
You should just try Reaper. It's good, and might get you what you want.
It has a notation system since last year.
I don't use it, so I can't speak to it's ease of use.
Cubase has been using notation for ages, so I would just assume it's more robust....but...
Your insert sends are probably pre-compressor as well as pre-EQ. (according to Berry's block diagram for the x32, I couldn't find one for the x24)
This, of course, changes your gain staging.
I would just go back to recording with the direct outs.
Set your faders at unity.
If you want a live...
Its not anything inherent in W10, plenty of people use it no problem. It's more likely a driver issue.
You wanna be sure? You think the update broke your system??
step 1- Clean reinstall.
step 2- report back.
I'd start with drivers though.
