I bought my last guitar because of the way it sounded and the luthier who built it. When I first saw this guitar 30 years ago I wasn't all that crazy about the way it looked, but it grew on me over the years and I like it fine now. It's very unique.

Ain't that the truth. Most of the gear I buy with few exceptions like guitars is used, and either obsolete or nearly so at the time of purchase. On the plus side, digital recording has made prices fall on used analog gear so I am thankful for that.

I always thought the Rolands were heavy feeling too. I've played a lot of the RD series and every one of them felt the same. I love their synths, but hate their piano actions. Kurzweil and Yamaha seem to feel the best to me.
