I say send it out. When you tweek and such and home people usually over do it and spend way too much time for results that are done much faster in a mastering house. No offence, but there is no way that many people here can afford the expensive gear used in mastering, let alone be able to use...

Thats right D. There is a large bost in the mid ranges. This means you will boost bass and treble to make it sou okay. Then when that mix is played through home speakers the bass and treble are boosted and thats what people like to hear to bad thats just a failed idea not the reality of it!

If you mix with a sony XYZ speakers, it will translate well on all XYZ systems. Now for the rest of the world who doesn't own XYZ, it MAY sound poopy. Get monitors early on, it really will help your desire to keep recording.
Fat dawg makes good stuff. Some of it may be new old stock or the such. They really want good guitars to come out of there company. I know of no one with 101 but have heard ok things. I know the just have a slew of guitar bodies made and painted by someone else and just assemble them for you...
