Hmmm... perhaps. I've been thinking about setting up a second studio for my best friend... we'll have to see.

    Ceaning out- recouping!!!

Hmmm... depending on my financial system when you list them, I may be interested in a Firepod. EDIT: Which is to say, when you list the Firepods, I definitely want one.

FS: 1010, DMP3, compressors, computer parts

Yep, everything works just fine. I was using an older Compaq Presario running XP Home and Kristal as a DAW. I guess maybe $150 for the 1010 and $100 for the DMP3, including shipping? OBO.

FS: 1010, DMP3, compressors, computer parts

Well, my hard drive finally died (it's been limping along for months), and instead of getting a new one, I've decided to sell off the good computer parts and some of my outboard stuff and get myself a laptop setup. Prices including shipping and are open to negotiation. M-Audio DMP3 $100 Rane...

I feel like i only need my mixer for show now

I never use a mixer in the studio... I don't usually need to. Of course, I do a lot of industrial and other work that's mostly electronic anyway. If the main issue is the look of it, get a Midi controller keyboard. You can pick one up for less than $100, and you won't have that empty space. And...

First time recording, a few drum questions

I'd recommend trying out a simpler mic setup to start with. Look in this thread for some info on that sort of thing. https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=39030 And concentrate a lot on the tuning of the drums, it makes a HUGE difference.

    Recording desktop setup for sale.

The desktop can handle recording about 6 at once. It's got Windows XP Home on it. No software that matters except Photoshop 7, really. The laptop has Windows 2000 on it. This is a page with more info on the latop: http://support.ap.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pmac2cm/en/en_ug/specs.htm

    Cymbal Longevity

I've got vintage Zildjians and oldish Sabians that still sound wonderful. Only two cymbals that've ever been broken in my house are a B8 splash (which sucked anyway) and a Paiste Signature crash (which I still use for my trash kit). Both of them broke because they were too tight and were being...

Need hekp guys im a totall noob!! heres my equipment.....

I'm afraid I'll have to partially disagree with you, Supercreep. A Pearl MMX kit can sound like shit if it's not tuned well, and the Ballroom's old Percussion Plus kit sounds great, because of the tuning.

    Stripped down electo kit

Sure. Check out musiciansfriend.com and look around. You can easily get a couple of pads and a way to get the info into your computer, and then assign samples. You can even build your own pads easily enough -- google around a bit, but it's basically putting piezo elements in cheap drum practice...
