The THD Uni/Bivalve amps are by far my favorite guitar amps. I haven't played through a Flexi myself, but from what I hear it's rediculous. THD is a great company.

When I'm sitting at my computer I just stick my headphones into the firepod and everything sounds good. You just have to set the pod as your primary soundcard

I'm in the market for new overheads (within the next month or two) and these seem to be the mics most people reccomend on a budget. They seem to go for around the same price on ebay. I'm mostly going to be recording loud rock/metal drums... Is either one going to be better for that application...
