Doh!
I'm in Huntsville, AL.
I'm willing to go as far north as Nashville or Atlanta if my worn truck will handle it lol.
I definitely would not even think of trying to ship this stuff out. The truss exceeds UPS & FedEx Ground's limits for lenght/width/girth measurement. Even though all three...
I will double check tonight, but I am almost positive that on that old EQ pin 1 was routed to hot via the PC board....not by wiring.
I'm double checking cuz I'm definitely not above ghetting my own wires crossed ;)
As far as the walls, I have done two things in the past:
#1) Super compress two layers of R11 in the walls. Line the ceiling with a layer of burlap and then "egg crate" foam.
#2) Surprisingly, this one worked out like an absolute charm! Layers as many of the acoustic tiles the (type used in...
I FINALLY GOT IT ALL DIALED IN LAST NIGHT! :D
Ok, sorry for shouting, but I finally got it lol.
That kit, as good as it sounds, has been an absolute beast relative to mic positioning.
:) Thanks.
Although you know I must play the role of the modest one now ;)
I wouldn't say smart, just stubbornly & creatively persistant. After two weeks, I finally got a single kick, 7 pc drumset dialed in last night lol.
Not recording equipment - I'm still buying that myself. If there are live performers here who need lighting equipment...and not American DJ junk lol...read on.
Lighting Equipment, $1800 for everything listed in this category:
Controller:
NSI Model 6128 controller. 128 scenes, 4 memory...
yeah :(
I had my own business rnning live sound for bands.
They wanted $150 a night for a triamped system that had EVM 2X15 w/ full diffraction horn tops, PAS 2X18 subs, four separate monitor mixes, two effects sends, full drum mic'ing, the ability to record a performance and it sound good...
Stereo is an illusional technique and is usually a unique preference of the engineer driving.
Dry guitar mix just shy of hard left - effects full right. Just enough dry mix to keep it from being completely washed.
others would go hard left and hard right.
Drums panned left - center-...
Not a big name...no. Hell, not even a small one.
Referencing crawdad, his statements reminded me of a single sentence from a series of books I read as a teen....
"there is more in the seeking than the finding"
The more I write, pursue, and chase this dream - the more I find out about myself...
I live nearby in Hunstville and am also friends with other studio owners in the Shoals area. I wish the area was as successful as it once was...I really do. It's a shame the fate many of these once proud studios have met. Big names no longer flock here to record. They go to Nashville, NY, or...
Given my preference, I would have about 6 vintage dbx 160's in my drive rack. Alas, I am stuck with three 266's. As stated, definitely not what you would want to use for a final recording! For home demo's, they work well.
As stated earlier though, good advice is to record as much as you can...
don't get your hopes up LOL!
It's been a very LONG time since a hit was ever pulled out of that studio.
The indoor parking and the undevloped space are one in the same. The Neve's are, sadly, just plain worn out although the modules would be good for spare parts and such.
The studio has been...
No problem. I knew what you meant ;)
On older equipment though, always check you ground pin!!!
Before it became standard for Pin 1 to be ground, many put it on Pin 3.
Really messed me up on an old EQ I had once. Hook it up and the sound would go bye bye LOL!
Having had more than one Behringer unit cross my repair bench, I can say this:
Their support is horrible. Getting parts is near impossible and takes forever.
The other problem with them is that, from the retail side, you never know what will be available for order. If an item is backordered...
That splitter rocks!!! :D I Love it!!!!
I made a headphone mixer that I since discontinued use of one the power supply puked. I'll post a pic. Really cool design though. Could be used for dual mono or dual stereo operation. Each channel had a volume control for each input.
I had also once made...

Seller ended the auction early...Sorry 'bout that. I hate it when people do that :(
Sounds like a lightning hit.
I would check with your insurance company. Have the tech hold onto the board and his repair estimate.
We did insurance claims quite often. It would be of great benefit to you if that $2500 or so was in the form of a check with your name on it instead of someone...
