I haven't used it but it looks great. Also you should take a look at the dsp 16 from akai.

I've downloaded a couple of the studioware programs like, line 6 pod, and lexicon mpx-1 but when I try to use them and change the sounds of tracks nothing happens, no changes. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, I was also wondering if I can use these effects on audio, and not just midi.

Now, if I'm running a program like cakewalk, can I buy a mixer that will run w/the program

Yeah, that'll be awesome, because I already have an external CDRW. I was wondering if I should use my version of Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, or buy different software. I was looking at buying the aardvark 20/20 for a sound card.

I already own Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, but I want to have the feel of a real mixer in front of me. I was wondering If I could get that peavey mixer ala carte, or maybe some other mixer that will link up to the software.

I have a 380 AMD 64 megabyte Compaq PC right now. Should I upgrade this into a recording pc. I also have Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 installed on it. The only reason I'm scared of upgrading it is because Compaq is so proprietary, I was wondering if I'd run into problems upgrading this system.

What other components are needed for quality recordings, if you already have a VS880ex. Does the vs880 do compression, noise gating etc...

I'm not sure about the D-90, but with my Fostex FD-4, I play each track seperate into my sound card, and try to get the starting points matched as close as possible, while using cakewalk pro audio 9.

You can record all 4 tracks, but the 2 that you record panned left will bleed together, and the 2 panned right will bleed together. I haven't heard of a way to record 4 seperate simultaneous tracks though
