Understood, but if you only drive days, it doesn't matter that much does it? I'm not suggesting that we don't try to make the EQ's work. Just that I haven't needed them for my applications as of late.

I've got 73's, 84's and 81's. As far as problems, you'll rarely hear about the people who have NO problems, but much about those who DO have problems. It's just our nature I think. I tend to track with little EQ as I'll swap or re-position mics first, so the EQ issues have been nominal to me...

No you read me wrong. 100% out of phase....:D The API's are brash and faster and more agressive than the ACMP's, which I would describe as big, heavy, a little syrupy, and slower.

More forward. Fast. More aggressive. Muscular. Brash. ??? :D:D Hard to put into words. Great for rock. Really, great for anything. Not as heavy as a neve. Never got anywhere near the cool kick sound on the API's that I'm getting with the ACMP's. Did that help??

On overs I went API this time. Kick in and out, and Snare top and bottom I used the 73/84's. API's on toms, Shadow Hills on hh, Biz on Room.

Another pre update. Used the ACMP's AGAIN last night on a drum session. And again, I was floored. Absolutely killer. EQ or not. I mean, I want an EQ, but the pre's are phenomenal by themselves. bp
