Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

Dude. Markbass. 45lbs, 500w of power, an extra 25lbs gives me an extra driver or two. Boom without herniation and the best bass tone I've heard.

You guys who want to crank a 100w head on stage for a pub gig are nuts. My ears already ring any time I'm in a quiet room, and I can't get to sleep without background noise to distract me. It is nowhere near worth it for some monstrously loud cock-rock riffs.

I could use some new pickups

Light's advice is, of course, excellent. I'm a Seymour fan myself but haven't had a proper play with any of the lower output buckers.

The difference being that I could contact Gorty knowing that I'd get a reasonable reponse. There were various other changes made to what Gorty was doing that were dealt with simply by chatting to him. I wouldn't waste my time trying the same with you again.

I'm not really an arsehole, I just play one online, at home, and at work. But yes, Alec, it has been years. Years and years and years. Sometime we should count up our wasted hours on this site. It'd take a couple of days to count it all up, but hey, what's a couple of days spent online in...

Awesome man. Awesome. 707 900d 1 c45710ck But seriously, why has no-one mentioned Laney yet? I have a VC-15 with an excellent 10" Jensen that kicks for just about all styles. I don't feel like I have to stuff a sock down my pants to compensate for having such a tiny amp, hell, my bass amp...

    Talk about HIGH-END

As a rule, if it says 'professional' on the box, it's designed for amateurs.

Looking for good hip hop microphone.

You can't NOT have a mic preamp. It's not an option. You can't plug a microphone into a line input.

    Group Buy Interest?

Hmmmm ... I'm running both sentences through my head, and I'm sticking with "differently to". Thinking about it, "than" is clearly the correct word to have there, but it doesn't sound right or familiar. Someone told me the other day that Americans have a word "anymore". Is that like...
