Is there any way I can use my Firebox and Firepod together simultaneously so that I can record 10 tracks at once? I only have one firewire input on my Macbook Pro. Has anyone ever done this? Please help!

So I was mixing a demo consisting of a multitracked drum part, guitar, and bass. I went to turn on flex time to edit some of the drum parts, and as soon as I did the drum parts became absolutely f*cked. All 7 of them sped up to about triple the speed, while the guitar and bass parts are still...

Just picked up a brand new Audix i5 from Musiciansfriend, and the mic itself has no label on it. Any i5 that I've seen before had an Audix i5 label on it. This may be a stupid question, and I'm sure I'm safe, but is this just with the new ones that there is nothing on them?

I just picked up a Presonus Firepod and will be testing it out on Lion on Friday. Should work fine. I'm also upgrading to Logic 9 come Christmas :D

Looking to upgrade from Garageband to Logic 9. I've been using Garageband for about 6 years now so I'm very comfortable with it, and from what I understand Logic, being an Apple product, has some of the same commands and features as Garageband so it shouldn't be too difficult to make the switch...

Ok... the safest way is to buy directly from Apple. Don't be so cranked up about price, it's a Mac. You're gunna pay a chunk of change no matter where you go, it's a quality piece of equipment. You'll have tech support on your side for any problems you may encounter. You'd be stupid not to have...

You can hardly hear the fans in a Macbook Pro. The ones in mine are very faint, and I've never picked up any noise from them in my recordings. And yes to the OP, you're laptop should be fine. I would also recommend upgrading the RAM though.

Yes, my recording is all being done on my Macbook Pro in Garageband. I plug my mics into my mixer, and go directly from the mixer to the line-in on my laptop. I want to use the monitors to edit/mix my bands songs and my drum tracks.
