Well, eh, I think I can safely say no! :) Will you be needing examples to illustrate the point?

What Is The Deal With Mxl And Sp???

And if you are just here to underpin your decision to buy a Rode, check out http://www.audioforums.com instead. Thats also a good site, but they usually recommend the Rodes; just never the NT1! :)

Nuemann Tlm103 going cheap, cheap, cheaper!

And by the way, I kind of like their attitude: "Our site was created as a platform for people, which are well informed, and do not need and want any furher advices od salesmen. If you are unsure, what product fits to your purpose, please contact a qualified store, and if they helped you to...

Nuemann Tlm103 going cheap, cheap, cheaper!

Well, I've bought from them before and have had no problems. But then again I live in the south of sweden, so I can drive down there over the weekend to kick their butts if they don't deliver! :D

How do I graduate out of being just a "Dedicated Member"?

Well, i guess i have heard about half of them, mentioned! I'm, not really a pop music kind of guy, but more into jazz and such. It's really kind of sad, I live about sixtiy feet from a place where quite probably all of those bands have played at least once. But I almost never go there. Damn, I'm...

How do I graduate out of being just a "Dedicated Member"?

Das was nicht so schlecht! (Und leider viel besser als mein deutsch.) :) ps. But I feel obliged to correct your misspellings: "Ursäkta, jag är en sketen utlänning." would be the correct phrase. :D

How do I graduate out of being just a "Dedicated Member"?

Aah, so thats what it's all about! Thanks, I knew there was someting but I just couldn't put my finger on it! :D ps. As I am constantly struggling for the grammatically correct, I have to point out that Fjällräven is one, and not two words in swedish. Please repeat that a hundred times on the...

IEEE 1394 Firewire, USB, PCI, and the future of PC/Mac Recording

Not entirely true! If you read closely that number (20MBytes/s) is for the older 16-bit cards. The newer 32-bit ones should achieve 133MBytes/s, which in any reasonable audio application is quite sufficient. And a lot faster than Firewire. By the way I know which transfer medium I vote for...

Hey, finally someone who's realized what this site is really about! :D

    Used monitors?

Yous should be able to create pink noise in whatever audio editor you use. So just do it, save a wav, and burn it! But I don't think it will be of much use...

Anybody getting their RME Multiface yet?

Well, the AD and DA converters are on the same chip, AK4528, so they can't do very much about the relative specs. And besides it's pretty much irrelevant... (But there are boxes out there with a lot better specs; will you be good enougth to be worth it?)

    hoontech or st audio

Well, for what it's worth I think I'm gonna get the RME Digiface and a few of the new ST ADAM. ADAM is a DSP2000 with ADAT interfaces instead of their proprietary interface, and without 96KHz. But this is mostly because I sometimes use a Laptop for recordig...

    the 'Joe Meek sound' ?

Re: Re: Re: the 'Joe Meek sound' ? Well I know nothing of the Meeks in particular. But in all compressors the amplification is dependent on the signal itself, and it just so happens that if that feedback is on the form of - sort of - the signal driving a lamp that shines on a opto-resistor...

    Behringer is at it again...

I'm all for trying to get Behringer to follow the narrow path, but I still dont think the ECM8000 is an example of theft. Nothing Earthworks makes is even remotely similar, looks or performance wise. In that case it would rather be Earthworks who knocked B&K off. :) Anyway, lets give Behringer...

    Behringer is at it again...

I don't agree with that. There is no benefit in trying to make Behringer dissapear from the market, and not just because it can't be done. To my knowledge the ECM8000 is a very unique product, that behringer has designed themselves. And one that has a unique price/performance ratio. What we...

    Behringer is at it again...

Well, you do have a point. And it seems i cannot even agree with myself within the above post. :) However I still don't think it is quite so simple as just saying that Behringer are thieves and should be promptly darned to heck.

    Behringer is at it again...

Well, I don't know what to think... Or perhaps I do think that $59 is a more resonable price than $149 for a cable tester. With the risk of being crucified, and perhaps rightly so, I venture to say that Behringer has a function to fill. Had the original product been more reasonably priced...

    Pre for ribbon mics?

No fighting on my thread, boys! :) But thanks for your insights! I'm not too empoverished so I think I'll just get an M130 and experiment a little... That is if I don't decide to get those Dynaudio AIR6, cause then I should probably try to keep my GAS under tight control for a while. :D

    Behringer Truth vs. Tannoy Reveal

You know thats not what I meant. I obviously meant _really_ objective, as in "there is no way it could become less subjective without completely removing all humans from the chain and have the text auto generated from the oscilloscope." :) If I hadn't liked your review I would have said so...
