ok i`ve listened to the barbershop:
i didn`t find it that convincing overall ididn`t know where the barber was at all times
i`ve heard really convincing effects that have been better
the bag was realistic though
and the last ten seconds; that is a really good effect with the far away close...
the thing with digital is it`s exact, every one can tell a 0 from a 1 and its perfectly reproducible
i`m not sure analog does contain an exact amount of information- i suppose it depends on resolving power of the device thats reading it?
so maybe there could be hidden information?

listen to my voice, recommend a microphone/pre/ad
NOT the one i recorded this piece of shit with (its too diffuse, no clarity-theres no emotion either but thats another story)

i`m not singing any more with this piece of shit...
it was a different era then, things were hand made with the idea of being repaired at some point
now things are made out of a single block of plastic made by a machine in china
isn`t a new capsule more or less a new microphone?

tree and me has a good feel to it-but it sounds like the guitar is closer than the vocals
ithink it would be better with the vocals feeling closer you`ll have to ask somebody else how to do this though

i dont have the co1u but i do know you cant control the GAIN with windows vista-you need XP

they seem to be a similar price to the sony about £70 maybe i will buy a pair
the thing i like about the sony`s is there is literally no noise that comes out of the non-earside (is that a word?)

post which headphones you think are the best even if they cost more than your car.....
All comparisons to the sony mdr 7506`s which i have and i think quite a few other people have

i found this on a forum
"Well Elvis used one for vocals, but Bill Porter taught him very well how to hold it without covering up more than about 10% of the ports on the spine.
Mr. Porter HATED proximity effect on "The King's" live vocal mics and used the
RE-15 and briefly an RE-16 until Shure...

gives tech specs-and a warranty that you will not pay anything for repairs for two years probably void now!

i used to have some $40 (20gbp)phillips headphones but then i got these and they are well worth the money.
the main difference is clarity-you can hear clearer and you can place sounds better in your mind spacially
please vote i think these are well worth a recommendation

i dont know about mic technique but i put elvis above all others; i mean once you`ve got pitch and emotion perfect and there is just how he wants to sing the song on the day.
i sometimes think its the other way round though 'the song takes control of elvis'.

i`m talking studio; i HATE live recordings with an absolute passion!
unless its mabelline (i dont think there is a studio version)- if any one knows of studio version please tell me
