    Help on first "real" mix.

yea getting a better mic will help a lot and also just playing with an equalizer on your computer if that's what you're using to get a nice sound.

    Help on first "real" mix.

sounds pretty good. The vocals sound a little bassy to me could use a little more mid-high and the bass sounds a little weak and little distorted, but overall not that bad

    Easiest Floyd Song/Solo

Get guitar pro 3 4 or 5. Its perfect for learning solos cuz you can slow the midi guitar tablature down to the speed you want then mute or solo the track. And their site has pretty much every song.

    best distortion pedal for recording

Well I have a kustom quad 100 head which has fair distortion but not quite heavy enough for me. I record hard rock/metal type stuff. It would be for rythm guitar mostly, micing the amp not DI, and Im talking about stand alone pedals. Thanks for the help so far.

    RCA to USB adapter improves?

Right now I'm recording from the RCA out of my behringer eurodesk mixer to the eighth inch mic in jack on my sound card. I was wondering if getting a RCA to usb adapter would improve the sound that much for the 80 dollars its worth? thanks
