If I'm following correctly: You say that Sonar recognizes the Q10's in the Options/Audio, but when you try and select them in the Track Input dropdown they're not appearing? Are you (can you) run ASIO?

Have you set the 'Input' in Sonar of whichever channel you're trying to record to accept input from the SD-50? The Input drop down of your track should reflect all the audio interfaces Sonar recognizes...

The Roland is a great deck, but yes, it does get a bit cumbersome. I just sold mine last summer after years of using it exclusively for tracking. I used the money to upgrade my studio to 64bit DAWS (I use Sonar) and a Tascam FW1884... I did have the Roland setup as a control surface for my DAW...

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the SD-50, but it should (from what I've glanced over) be sufficient as a sound card. Are you getting a signal into Sonar? Are you plugging your guitar directly in or are you using some sort of guitar processor? I'm not sure I really follow you when...

Can you give us more info? Sound card? What version of Sonar? What drivers? Computer specs?
