Select ASIO in Sonar and you should be good to go :)

When you say: 'none seem to work' do you mean that the 1800 is not being recognized by Sonar? According to the specs I saw on the 1800, it has its own ASIO drivers, so I don't think you need to use ASIO4ALL.

More info is needed... Computer specs...? Do you have anything else plugged into your USB ports besides the SPS-25? How many tracks were recorded? Audio, Midi or both? How many effects in use?

If you delete the aud.ini file, it will be recreated automatically the next time you start Sonar, using the config/settings that Sonar detects in your system. And yes, if you want to preserve the old one, just right-click and rename it just like any other file :)

Need more info... Computer/soundcard specs? What Midi hardware (if any)? What Plug ins? I've been using Cakewalk/Sonar since 2003 and I think Sonar 4 was the only one that gave me issues with nudging, but was fixed with an update.

Yes, X1 came out in December... They just released the 2nd patch (b) late last month... Mainly interface changes, but they included what they're calling a 'Pro Channel' channel strip that absolutely rocks... Will alleviate a lot of 3rd party plugs for some folks...

Try deleting your aud.ini file... could be a config glitch in there is hampering things. Also, how many/what types of plugins are you loading each time? The amount of audio files you have on your system shouldn't affect Sonar's performance, unless you're dangerously close to filling up your...

Is the audio lagging or the Midi? You could try converting (freeze) the Midi file to Audio before recording the Guitar/Bass

Those are the limitations of the LE (Lite Edition) version of Sonar. In order to expand to more tracks/FX, you would need to upgrade to the full version (Studio or Producer). You could also 'bounce' your finished tracks in order to make more available.

You have an O/L indicator light for each channel on your Saffire... Are you saying these are lit up as you are inputting signal to the unit? You can push the Pad button to drop the input signal by 20db and season to taste with the Gain knob. Make sure you have selected your proper Instrument or...
