Use burlap cloth. You can order it cheaply off the internet and they'll ship it to your door. I wouldn't use foam on the ceiling. Better to go with rigid fiberglass insulation (Owens Corning 703 or similar from Knauf) or confined mineral wool batts--again covered with your cloth. Alex
