PCI card for 2nd interface ????

I don't have a suggestion for a PCIe card, but most DAW software will not allow for multiple input sources. There are some that do, so be sure you have the right software.

    Creative EMU 0404 PCI card

I had the 0404 PCI for many years. There is no value in them anymore. I tossed mine in the trash.

A/D Converter High Res No high pass

I did. I got a DA10 and an AD10. I had them for quite a few years but eventually sold them to the bass player for the Hoosiers.

A/D Converter High Res No high pass

Heh, my brother used to work for Lavry. He was the only employee not related by blood. So now I'm subscribed to this train wreck. Where's that Unsubsribe button again?

My First "Home Recording" 43 years old

The piano sounds great. One mic, huh? The choir? well.. you did what you could with the song given. :D But for real, very cool you found the old recording and got to listen to it again.

73 key or 76 key midi keyboard?

    I can appreciate that. :)

73 key or 76 key midi keyboard?

Yeah, when you read the title, it is either 73-key or 76-key. Most people in this happy and helpful group would think, what's the difference? and move on to the next thread.

Debating on selling my Tascam 388 and I'm torn...

My problem is having too many projects going at one time and never finishing any of them. My 3-car garage fills up with all these half-baked ideas waiting for completion. (I can still get the wife's car in there, so I'm not in deep trouble.!! -yet.) We are migrating to a mode where we want to...

Debating on selling my Tascam 388 and I'm torn...

I have been on a real purge binge the last few years. Sold half my guitars and basses, electronics I no longer used, and removed/tossed junk from the house/garage. I still have more to go, lots more in the garage. My theory is: If I haven't used it in a year, it is a candidate and I'll decide...

    Manslick - The Bullet's Gash

Sounds good, PDP. You brought out a lot of details that I didn't know were there. Particularly the piano/kybrd part. Gotta say, it really adds to the song. My new nitpick would be the sound effect in the beginning is a little too loud for my taste. Personal preference, though. Cheers to...

    Thunderbird

Great cover. Not sure I remember the original, but pretty much you own this one. :) My only nitpick would be for a little more tonal separation between the kick and bass. Thanks for sharing.

    Electric Blue - Artificial

Yeah, really like the intro. I like that little pad synth or flute patch thing going on with the piano. But, I was ready to turn it off and go on to the next song when the robo-vocal thing came in. Just not my thing, I guess. I say, sing it normally, but personal preference and all that. The...

    "In The Islands" - Funk/Reggae/Electro

Lots going on and I think you put a lot of work into this. Very 80s synth-pop vibe. The vocals are a little buried. The lead solo guitar is not working. It doesn't fit the song and as PDP said, very harsh. The song gets a little repetitive with the same rhythm going on and on and not much...

    D-Town Train

Thanks, i appreciate the comments. This just started out as some noodling and meandering instrumental thing, then I heard the little Tom Waitts part in there, so I thought add the chorus. Just fleshing out ideas and seeing what people think of it. Any thoughts on the tone of the guitars and...

    Manslick - The Bullet's Gash

This sounds much better than the soundcloud link. Enjoying the song as I listen. I think the vocal is sitting on top of the mix. Though, it's a great performance, it could be blended better with everything else. Listening more, same for the lead solo guitar. Just a little too loud for the rest...

    D-Town Train

I don't usually do covers but this one is not a usual cover. Lots of self-indulgent wankery. Hope you don't mind. All comments welcomed. Thanks. DownTown Train by Irish Pirate | Free Listening on SoundCloud

    Combining DAW and video?

When I make a video, I record the song first. Then I play it back through a boombox or something so I and the camera mic can hear it. I once used the car stereo for some shots outdoors. Parked the car behind the camera. I lip sync when singing and try to capture the guitar playing to as close as...

    old Alesis QS8 question

I have an old quadrasynth, which is the predecessor to the QS8, and use it as a midi controller. No aftertouch, but I don't need it for the stuff I do. piano, organ, strings, etc. When I record with it, I record the audio as well as the midi, just in case. I'll use the audio on the QS as I'm...
