i typed the previous post on my Treo and got tired. once you get the tracks to line up, then you should know what your latency is. how you improve your latency may just be a matter of soundcard or recording software configuration. but it might mean you need a new soundcard.

upgrade windows xp to at least service pack 1 (Win XP sp1). there is a known bug in XP related to USB.
