sweet, yeah, I've got the point... Where can you buy roosters? is there any cheep methold using house products (mostly) that you can build a decent bass trap, or sound insoltion "hanging wall"?

yeah, something like that. but it's good practice though for when I do get expensive stuff. (most of the stuff I have right now is from e-bay, or home-made) oh, you mean like mics and such, that converts ither air to electrons and in your pc from analog to digital, ect. ok, thanks.

I like the mix, the only thing is that I would pull up the instroments or pull back the drums at the beginning. and any other time the singer is not singing.

I just use a DI box (DB-01) and feed the 1/4" jack to the Ibanez bass amp (which also has a DI output, but has never really worked properly for me) and the xlr goes to the mixer/pc

I've got a decent pair of monitors (ysm2p's) and I'm planning to build my own rack. and why are so many people basicly telling me to keep with the plugins, while so many studio's use outboard equipment. I'm not saying that thier suggestion is not valid, It's just. whats the reason people get them?

mentalattica, I'm using cubase- and goldwave (prmaraly) and whatever pugins I can download. i don't need to render to hear the effect, but i do need to render before i can hear the affected track in with the rest of the mix (especially when using goldwave) and I hear alot of people taking about...

ok, what (in your opinion) is the most important (in order) EQ Compressor/limiter headphone mixer anything else currently i have nothing in my rack (I don't even have a rack :) ) I am currently just relying on plugins. but I much rather have external equipment.

is there a bass guitar? it seams to be missing some middle meat. NVM, I hear the bass, but it seams verry high up. maby fatten up the low end a bit and is that a crash? it dosn't seem quite right to me, It gives me a mental image of some one trying to rock along with a tryangle. hope this helps

is it possible to get that thick packaging cardboard stuff. layer it so it's about 4" thick and use that as a bass trap? and/or could you use it for sound proofing? edit: and use that cheep bed foam on top to prevent as many reflections
