This is actually a question for a mate of mine. He is using an fairly old version of cakewalk sonar and whats to import audio samples. when he does they wont play, theres just silence. But i know the computer itself can play audio fine , its a brand new pc. can anyone help?

I been working on this mix for far to long! - its a basic mix of acoustic and electric guitar, vox, piano and drum click (midi) with a few guitar overdubs just adding colour here and there. The problem ive been having is the mix sounding good on my monitiors and headphones (good not great!)...

its a imac g5 is use so it doesnt allow you to install pci cards as far as i am aware. therefore its usb or firewire im looking for.???

the issue with more than 4 is the budget thing yer. the delta 44 - do these work with macs? - i had the impression they were pc interfaces? i agree that i may want to do some close micing in the future - but for now my budget is tight - for the interface and also mics.
