..... it's a bit hard to believe this story....
how can someone be that stupid ?
unless that guys knows nothing about motif rack ES... but how can someone knows nothing about it in the studio?
you may be able to get some decent sounds from sample CDs load in NNXT
but then, ur ur mix isn't busy or you need powerfull fat sounding synths as the main sounds in ur track, REASON synths wont get you there, they are thinner than many vsti
you can't get the MS2000 sounds with realtime...
just like all the grooveboxes, each patches dont have dedcated effects, so it's not going to sound "radio ready" , but each patterens have it's own setup that sound okay, haha oh well it's up to you
pre MC909, theres no stereo delay which is essential to eletronic music, you can use auto pan but...
haha
Tapcos is one of the worst selling at a funny price with it's hard sounding image but because it's under makeies
oh well, last generation m-audio was just as bad with their harsh hi ends but still sells~
good music!
norally start with the highest Impedance setting (if your unit have that choice) to record vocal would be more practical, and if you need you vocal sound thick and with a harder sounding image than lower the Impedance, however most of the time, a softer more transparent 3D sounding...
a distortion box decent flavoring as guitar DI
for vocals that will sit better in the mix, look elsewhere
keep it as it's from ur trusted ones with memories but if u can return it and get something else you will more likely to have bigger smiles later during recording sessions
and you will...
i'm not really fellowing the discussion
but the mixes sounded okay
the performaces are accurate but the vocals could have sounded a whole lot better with better toys
IMO thats quite a normal reaction for ones from mixer pre to 400 dollar range single chennal pre
and double that price in to 1k range is mostly just going to be pure personal preferances
i would get 8080 first, the bothe sounded very different anyway... and all garentee easy to mix in most kind of music, but with just one ms2000 you cant play two 7th chords without hearing voice gets cut out,
yeah but u need a highend compresor to get better sound... not much to say, if u have higher end compressor and a mid end recording interface you can get better sound be, mid to lowend compressor with low end recording interface... go get a UAD-1
IMO for a good action controler.... used yamaha S80/90
the CME's synth keys are great but not the piano keys, but about the same as the maudio88piano key one
i like the new samson alot!
not enough lowend?? donno about that... where were the speakers setup?
in the middle of the room standing alone?
anyway i find them to have plently of bass maybe not low enough but more mid bass then evetstudio speakers
just go try it urself, at that price many stores...
my suggestion is that ... get a maudio tempa right now and save up later for 900+ those are the ones that will live forever
but if ur budget is 600 incloud recording interface...
M-box is actaully quite good... the price should drop for a clearence price soon
the AD/DA is better than Maudio's...
if u want 1~2 chennl budget ones, studioproject or the m-audio DM3
for 8 chs at at the same price range...... well... huh.. huh... mmm.. huh... they get the job done
just a instore testing...
i was really suprised my the new samson... even tho the old ones are total crap to my ears
the 5in's bass is forcefull and round, but not boomy, the highend is smooth, it does sounded a bit like adam but i find adam have a bit more accurate imaging, but not too much...
