be honest about the production.
whats good? whats bad? is the song okay? what would you do to improve it?
thank you in advance.
I've used a metal zone since 1996.
but never in a serious capacity.
i plug direct into my amps live and in the studio.
i recently went to a jam where a guy was using a metal zone through a marshall 4x12 and the tone sucked. no definition or clarity, and way too loud. theres so many sounds you...
ya, your right....
basically my regular E string is now in the A string slot.....
it was a fun playing that way for a while, but im happy to be back at regular a440 shredding some good thrash metal riffs.

i have a jackson tuned down to B too.
I grabbed a pack of 7 strings, and put em on my 6 string thickest up, and just left the high e off. that way the axe can handle the low slack.
a lot fo death metal suffers from the same crummy guitar sounds. too much reverb, distortion pedals and mud...
well, thanks for the concern but Im not worried about fire. The computer runs fine, its a pentium 4, never crashes or locks up.
its just that one in every x amount of boot ups, it wont start....it could be as simple as a worn out switch...
hell, it could even be some kind fo funky virus...

if I put the hibernate option on will i need to reboot from the power switch, or since I have this ac...
I use both. I have a fostex vf-16 that I can use to do 'remote' recording.
I can go on site and record drums anywhere, horn sections, etc
then I load em into the PC with all the bells and whistles.
all my 16 track is for is exactly that - tracking.
in my opinion, since you asked, is that a...
++++ Here's how I go about it: Play the entire mix. Set your EQ to a very high (narrow) Q value. Now boost the heck out of it on the problem track +12 db or more. Move the actual frequency of the EQ very slowly, listening for the exact point where the problem is at its absolute worst. That is...
great learning tool
i agree....i love playing my fave songs through it to learn from. mostly guitar driven rock...
ive used it to learn various frequency ranges of things. like how a kick is around 80hz and a snare sits at around 170.
Ozzy sings at around 1.4 kHz while Gene Simmons usually...
then they used crappy cd-r.s
I have well used cd-r's, some even kept wiothout covers, one is over 7 years old, AND STILL PLAYS WITHOUT SKIPPING.
dont buy the 50 for a buck blank cd's,
buy the good ones, and youll be cranking them tunes ten years from now.
im using cubase5.
i set up L and R locators, and on thge transport bar i click the loop button.

How do I get this to work?

what do you guys do at the final stages of assembling your mix?
do you use Wavelabs AUdioMontage to assemble youre tracks and create a final mix, or is the idea to assemble a mix in CUbase and then use the Audio montage to assemble the CD layout???
the manuals are great for telling you how to...
well, isnt the track by track and assemble a final mix the idea behind the AUDIO MONTAGE>>>>????
in the AUdio montage I can assemble a final mix, but will I be better off doin this within Cubase???
