any recent Mic Parts builds? and what's Dachman?

I definitely got a kick out of your post. I didn’t do an LOL, but it certainly got me to smile. People have been hot ridding stuff for ages. It’s fun and sometimes it makes something better sometimes not so much. Early on I bought a Torres ‘Blaclkface’ kit for a 70s champ. A few resistors...

    2008 Martin D28 - horrible resonances

Just take it to a tech already. All the posts on this thread ain’t gonna fix it. A good fret dress and crown and polish can fix any fret issues. Remember, frets wear. Just like the brakes on your car. Maybe the neck is too straight. This will lower your string action in the ‘cowboy chord’...

    2008 Martin D28 - horrible resonances

How you pick, pluck or strum the strings and being able to control your pick attack can greatly alleviate those symptoms. The guitar is by no means a perfect instrument. Part of being a great player is being able to adapt and compensate for the inherent flaws in your instrument. A famous...

Cheat or not cheat? That might be the question

The machine needs to eat. What is its food? Content. :D Same as with a forum, this, or any other forum. It needs content. So you’ll get the occasional (or not so occasional) stupid posts. Mine included. :D

i took my tascam m-106 part nd now i can’t get the pots and sliders and shit to align with the face plate! please help!!

Think back to how you took it apart. Re-assembly is usually the exact reverse of disassembly. For the future…… Always take pictures of the disassembly steps. It’s so damn easy in this day and age where everyone has a smart phone. As to your current predicament, sorry, I’m of no help. I’m not...

Just picked up this Tascam Corporation Model 10 – anyone here familiar with it?

A short 1/4 inch patch cable will tell the tale. Patch it in, and if it passes signal you need jumpers.

Just picked up this Tascam Corporation Model 10 – anyone here familiar with it?

Those plastic bodied jacks look suspect to me. Never seen those on any early tascam product. I wonder if they are even properly grounded to the chassis. Edit. Ps. As @sweetbeats said, unless they are normaled, you need jumpers.

This is a must buy at almost any price if you own that desk.

Broken XLR Cable - Potential for Damage?

Cut it shorter to remove the damaged area and resolder it……..or…… throw it away.

    RWRP middle pickup question

Positions 2 and 4 would sound different just because the lack of single coil hum. Then when you switch to the other positions the SC hum returns. That’s kind of weird. But you get used to it.

    HOW TO RELIEVE GAS?

Donald Trump designed it. He likes gold :D Seriously, I don’t know exactly why gold was picked as a color choice. But it would show up well on black and white TV. Along the lines of Fender’s butterscotch finish on Tele’s. And later Gibson’s “TV” yellow. But it is my understanding that paint...

    HOW TO RELIEVE GAS?

Gas is only temporarily ’cured’. As a matter of fact, the only thing that will stop it completely is death. There’s always going to be that time, that just like a stray dog, a guitar will somehow just follow you home. It’s inevitable. Mike Campbell was asked in an interview…. “How many...
