This would be a huge amount to type out on a forum. I think your best bet would be to head over to YouTube and do some searching for hybrid mixing. You'll find many people doing something similar to what you'd like and them showing you how this works is probably better then me typing it... Zed...

I have nothing to add in your quest for a solution.. but I do love your videos. In the video you pan up a rack on the right hand side and I can see what looks like a pair of Tascam PE-40s. and then three U of..something. What else lives in that rack?

Hmm. Try and rule out the tape machines. Can you record it back into a PC, or other mobile device? If that works, you know it's something between phone and tape machine? Did you put your phone into Airplane mode and switch off Bluetooth and WiFi? Could be the system muting audio for...

The PSU for the M3700 uses the same PCB, but it's fully populated, and has a beefier transformer. I'm not sure I can say mine is quite as tidy inside as Miro though :)
