I have Shure SRH-440s. They are actually a nice sound and comfortable but heck, the damned things fall apart. After just one year the cushions are flaking and had to professionally repair the wiring. At the moment they are in mono, and that is sad as the price wasn't cheap.

The drums and instruments were too loud. It is a mistake to add too much as your ears get accustomed to louder and before you know it you have reach 99% volume saturation for each instrument. The old version is good just a touch of eq and reverb and touch gain should be sufficient I would think

The wood on my stratocaster is from Tennessee. It was assembled in Corona though. Wood has a large part to do with sustain, tone and frequency, so my question is where the wood comes from.
