Just played the clip. Nice. You're getting a really clear string-to-string sound with your chords, even when the pre gain is up. Very nice. Try some Judas Priest or KISS with it and you'll be in Marshall heaven.

I agree, and lol. Also, I was surprised Hiwatt wasn't in there. I haven't played the new ones, but I've played a vintage head/cab that my amp tech has and it is sweet.

I've only cleaned mine a couple of times, but used soapy water and a sponge.

T o my ears it sounds fantastic with both guitars. The Strat gives it a nice vintagey classic rock vibe. Great job capturing the tone of it on 'tape'.

I typically use mine to boost mids, so I get the amp where I want it and then fine tune with the pedal.

I don't hear it on the latest clip, so whatever you changed worked.

I have a 65 Super Reverb reissue. My amp tech hand soldered over all of the joints on the circuit board and says that is where a lot of the failures occur. It hasn't been gigged weekly or anything, but it's been hauled around enough and no problems from it. Are you any good at soldering?

Two guitars that had tuners I thought sucked were an '82 Stratocaster (tiny little buttons with some fancy beveling and if they weren't moved in awhile they would 'pop' from their position until you got them moving) and a '65 Harmony Rocket that had open tuners that weren't very smooth for some...

I like my Ross flanger, too. I also used a Boss BF2 back in the '80s and I always liked the sound of it. It almost seemed more powerful (for lack of a better word...maybe more saturated is what I meant) than the Ross. I never owned them at the same time so I never got to A/B them.
