I thought it would be nice to make everyone post the eventual musiciansfriend offers. I'm not affiliated with the store or anything, I'm just an impulsive buyer who always sees offers too late.
So I will begin with this one:
BlueTube + At2020 + At2021 = 250$
Here are the options I found.
I was going to get a MSH-3 but just when I was going to order it, it got discontinued, exactly the same happened with the MSH-4 >=o(
THe other option is pay a little more to get a drum pack like this one. Or just stick with something I already have.
Anyway... vote...
I love Behringer, and I have many of their gear.
However using a Rode NTK through a small behringer mixer... humm...
Get a decend one channel pre-amp with included USB/Firewire interface instead.
Yeah, but I also have a 10 mic input mixer. If I get a 24 channel snake I would have 14 useless cables taking a lot of space in my desk. But I'm planning on upgrading my mixer in 1 or 2 years max.
Right now I use my own cables, since they are rather long, and for one or two channels only I have...
A friend just got his Alesis Multimix 8 USB. Everything works like a charm, well... everything but the FX unit.
When I turn up the FX return knob I get all kind of weird digital noises, no matter which preset I chose or if I send anything or not to the FX.
:( Anyone had this problem? How can it...
 That one looks pretty damm good! However... since I'm spending big buck for a snake, I thought I could buy one that I could use also for live sound. On my drumkit I use 11-12 mikes. I would need two of those, that cost almost like the big ones :) especially if I buy the 50 feet model, that...
OMG she is hot as hell *drolls*
I thought when the mike was turned around in the other side there was going to be a SM7 or something that could possibly be taken for that black counterweight she was taking to. But not a LDC with popscreen and all. XD
Up with the redheads!!!
Hi people, I need some help here.
I want to buy a XLR stage snake. At first I though they would be like 50 bucks... hahaha idiot me...
I found here (in bolivia) two, that are about 250 and 280$. If i remember correctly one pearl and one horizon.
That's a lot of money... especially for an...
Yeah, I use it for practicing mostly, and some recordings too. I have a Zildjian ZBT cymbals set also. It isn't a pro kit, but at least I have a complete drumset. Check it out here. It ended up sounding pretty good imo.
And those heads I used when I recorded are like 3 years old. Still using...
I wasn't in the group buy, but if I was, I would probably have chosen the multi-pattern ones, especially for only 15 more bucks.
Just curious, how many mics did you order in the end?
Without counting that is his first and only post :)
Still I might mail him for advice when I have the money.
Damm, power boxes are more expensive than the mikes themselves. And shipping will probably cost more than both together.
I think what he means is that Firewire has a bigger bandwidth, and therefore can transfer stuff faster than USB 2.0
I'm not sure if the Firewire is more stable, but you shouldn't have problems for speed, since they are almost the same.
The Alesis Multimix firewire has 16 simultaneous inputs...
Thanks a lot!
That seems like it was going to be a problem. So about the MSH-1X, do you match them too? and that really fits into an ear?
One more thing, when will the new X series will be available? early/late 2008? To see if I wait for them or just get the MSH.
