It's also waaaaaaaay more expensive than a MIDI keyboard. If the "feel" of the keyboard is important, I agree it's worth a look, but getting the impression that probably doesn't matter much...... There are MIDI keyboards with weighted keys? Isn't that kind of like getting out the good china...

I would simply return the mixer (unless you have a compelling reason not to) and buy a mixer with 48V phantom power. Only 18V on that one, how odd.

I'm not an introvert, more like just anti-social :) I have a low tolerance for jerky/stupid people and I swear they're breeding like cockroaches. I almost never go to either myself, though again it might be for diff reasons.... lol no doubt!

On the contrary, our approaches sound quite similar. :) Although I have little songs w/o lyrics (intentionally or otherwise), it's lyrics w/o music. I find the music much harder to write.

Are they cheaper? That's the only possible reason I can see, though I realize the advantages are minimized with shorter cables. Am I missing something?
