    Kickforge (Kontakt)

One of those unlicensed libraries so it only works with the full version of kontakt, but I have to say it's pretty fantastic. This is after 10 minutes of tweaking it. It's on sale right now (until the 30th of November 2017) I think, use the code blackfriday if it's not already automatically...

    Cabinet/Speaker size

Yep I would totally trade my 4X12 with vintage 30s for one of those suckers in a heartbeat (the 2x12 mesa). The problem is crate (understandably) as a brand name carries some super negative images in people's mind so I doubt I could get more than $500 max for the cabinet I own.

    Cabinet/Speaker size

Nope, I meant 4X12 to 4X12 (aka brand, shape, size, construction etc...). :thumbs up: I can say with pretty strong confidence that if you compared a Mesa Rect standard straight 4x12 to say an Orange PPC412-C you would hear a pretty large difference. I would say the difference would magnify if...

    Cabinet/Speaker size

In my experience cabs, even going from 4X12 to 4X12 have a huge influence on the sound.

    HELP PLEASE Time stretching audio

The key is to consolidate the audio tracks before you stretch so it applies the stretch equally to each track.

Looking for some tracks to mix?

Not mine. Brian is a good dude though. This is under the metal genre as far as I know (only have one opened yet). Build Your Mixing Portfolio With These High Quality Multitracks - From Shit To Gold

Questions on using Ezdrummer 2 as a VST on Cubase

I mean IIRC you can create user midi (that might only be superior) but I never bothered because it seemed silly to me.

Questions on using Ezdrummer 2 as a VST on Cubase

That is correct. I'm not entirely certain why you would want to though?

    controlling cymbal bleed

The video I just posted about the snare should actually work on toms as well, although I have not tried it personally yet.

A nifty trick for killing cymbal in the snare direct mic.

I find it almost impossible to get that low 200hz body smack by trying to dig it out of the overheads. Different strokes of course.

A nifty trick for killing cymbal in the snare direct mic.

The overhead tracks have nothing to do with this technique. I don't think you understand what he is doing. He is phase cancelling the top end (cymbal) bleed in the snare direct mic with a duplicate snare direct mic. Basically it's a (arguably) better sounding way to kill cymbal bleed in the...

A nifty trick for killing cymbal in the snare direct mic.

Just sharing, this is pretty slick in my opinion. Figured you guys would dig it.

    EQ Plugins - Dedicated HPF/LPF

Pro Q2 is really just a ridiculously nice eq, as far as there being anything automatic about it though the answer is nope. I have zero experience with any of the other stuff from fab filter though.

    EQ Plugins - Dedicated HPF/LPF

The porcelain sound booth is a one trick pony, but when it works it works haha. I prefer real world rooms over reverb whenever possible, and in the world of home recording it's mostly not possible (or more importantly good). That room was from my old apartment. I moved from that space in 2011.

    EQ Plugins - Dedicated HPF/LPF

Bro Frequency is the shit. For the first time ever cubase actually comes with a decent stock eq. I've never cared for the stock 4 band either and the other ones are useless in my opinion. Honestly the stock compressors are worth looking at as well FYI. But I also agree pro Q2 is a fantastic...

    How to properly reference songs

I drop the audio into my project as well and I use Greg's tutorial to setup a reference in cubase that doesn't route through the master bus. Really nice because it doesn't go through my bus comp and I can set the volume to be similar. All DAWs should have something like this in my opinion.

Help with track sequence in Cubase 9

Fricker does a great job explaining a good method for export and I could not agree more, just ignore his silly over the top presentation. lol Although honestly I wouldn't be to enraged not getting dry tracks as long as the guitar tone was good. Dry tracks are really good for editing though...
