I dont have any experience with the 122, but i do own the 144, and for the price, its been working great for me. the downside to it is that the built im pre amp isnt to great, i had to go out and guy a tube pre. Other than that, its worth 150$

Honestly, you should be asking the person you are going to employ to do your mastering. He is the one that is going to have requirements, limitations, and preferences. The only advice I have is to make sure you are not clipping, and dont over process the mix, that is the masterers job. Mix it...

Thanks for the tips, this " peak limiter " that you are talking about...is that what its called, a "peak limiter"? what does that do, kind of compress the peaks down, and average out the sound , or what not?

At the begining of the song, there could be a silence...or a part of the track that needs to be cut off before mapping the tempo, try cutting the begining of the sng to right when the vocals start... ive had the same problem, and that was how i fixed it.

The title sums it up. I recorded at a local studio for years on Cubase. I finally built my own studio, and got my omf files. I cannot import them into my cubase 5 le. Can I import them into my Reaper??

You dont get what im saying say i have a singer in who isnt a good singer, and keeps singing a note, or a few notes, off key, and i want to correct them, without having her do another take. And for the record, a B# isnt a C note, its a Cb, the difference is a half of a note.

I have a ART pre amp on the mic, im going to be doing some experimenting today with double tracking, hopefully thatll make my vocals louder, and sit on top of the mix more. Thanks for the tips guys

Yeah they do have a gain dial on the back, im thinking that because my mic records at suck a low volume, i have to bring the music down so far to mesh with it, that by the time im cranking the volume, its soooo low in my daw.
