you could remove the ceiling plasterboard in the drum area and fill the joists with insulation ,depending on the depth of the joists you could put insulation and the a nogin (piece of 1*1 ") insulation nogin etc and then finish it off with some material to keep the insulation fibres in the...

if you are maxing out the cpu try bouncing the drums to one stereo audio track mute the others so cubase is not using them , do the same with the amplitube tracks and work on one piece of the song at a time, (if you dont like how is sounds delete the copy track and alter the original and do the...
