Inside Sonar ALT+9 takes you to the tempo view, where you can set the tempo. If what you want to do is speed up or down AUDIO, then that's a whole different animal altogether.

ecm 8000 for OH, 57 on snare and 52 or 112 on kick.... should stay within budget with those 4 mics and get a decent drum sound.

Again, you can pan whichever way you like, but one piece of advice is, when mixing down, try to level both L and R to the same average in volume or else the final mix might result in something that fatigues your ears.

another thing you might want to try is to copy the guitar track, paste it to a new track and add a little delay to one of them... try around 50ms and play around from there... this can spread the guitar a little bit on the stereo field. Good luck!
