    Expression pedal

Apparently you can use an ernie ball volume pedal, which would feel identical to a crybaby since it's the same enclosure sans switch and wah components. You have to use a TRS slitter though so I don't know how you feel about that. Signal has to be split so you can connect the out and the in...

    Eq

I've been using frequency, which is not included in cubase pro. In terms of cheap 3rd party I like IIEQPro from DDMF. In terms of what everybody and thier brother seem to like I'll say fabfilter Pro-Q 2, but this is not a cheap option at all. I've used all three, I don't own pro q 2... yet...

Pro User Question - What are you using besides Waves for advanced 'level-mixing'?

Yeah this is where I'm not much help at all. Even my google foo comes up with nothing. I'm actually surprised this doesn't exist though (who knows maybe it does).

Pro User Question - What are you using besides Waves for advanced 'level-mixing'?

Cubase and Nuendo would be the same in terms of it's downmix (just clarifying the link). I do not think it can be done instantly with a button press but to be honest I don't know. Automatic Downmixing But when they say automatic, it's my understanding this is done at bounce not in real time...

    DI Guitar recording

I have the old toneport UX2. It has both a normal and padded instrument input. The issue I get with the DI off the software is that it somehow imparts this wierd compression to the DI track, when as you know DI tracks are extremely dynamic so it doesn't reamp as well as when I go through...

Using a Pedal Reverb instead of Plugin

Also just want to say, if anyone finds this thread in the future and is wondering why they can't do this. YOU MUST HAVE CUBASE PRO IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS FEATURE!!!

Using a Pedal Reverb instead of Plugin

TBH I have no idea. I've never looked into the delay of the reamp loop, but I doubt it more than a few samples at most. I don't see why you couldn't do it that way, but I personally don't do it that way. You know... now you got me curious. haha Might have to try it. I only have some...

Using a Pedal Reverb instead of Plugin

Sorry just got home. Ok here are the steps you fallow to set this up. You can then use the plugin on an FX track or as an insert on an audio track. 1. Pull up audio connections (Studio--->Audio Connections....) 2. Navigate to the External FX tab. 3. Hit the "Add Exteranl FX" button. 4...

    DI Guitar recording

It only matters in terms of accurately reproducing what is coming off the guitar directly, otherwise I agree with what you are saying. I only bring this up because my cheap L6 interface does not produce good DI tracks. There is a significant difference between plugging in direct to the...

    DI Guitar recording

Option 1 is what you want guy, just make sure you monitor through an amp sim while recording. There is no difference in the end result other than option 1 doesn't leave you with an undesirable sound should you decide you hate it later.

Using a Pedal Reverb instead of Plugin

Cubase actually pings the loop, so you can turn off the pedal (just click it off, still letting dry signal through) and hit the ping button and the DAW will account for the time it takes to send the signal through the loop. You have to ping it anytime you change buffer settings though. I'll...

    Connecting X32 board to Cubase

Did he order from sweetwater? IIRC they provide support for a while after you purchase.

    Best way to do this...

Sounds like you need one of these. I'm considering one myself. Two Notes Torpedo Captor Reactive Loadbox DI and Attenuator - 8 ohm | Sweetwater

Pro User Question - What are you using besides Waves for advanced 'level-mixing'?

I doubt you will find many using anything more than stereo on here, but I'll bite as I've always been interested. Nuendo has tools for this built in (specifically atmos up to 9.1). You still have to have to connect to the Dolby RMU though. What I don't know is if Nuendo can analyse LUFS...

Isolating drum tracks from an already mixed song

Even phase reversing the track without drums with the one that has it will still cause some goofy phase problems. If at all possible the best way to get this done is to ask for the original drums.

Using a Pedal Reverb instead of Plugin

On the hardware side you just take a balanced output, go to the balanced input on the reamp box and then to the input of the pedal. Then you can either go to an instrument level from the pedal or use a DI box and go to a mic preamp. Depending on your interface it actually might be preferential...

    Snare drum upgrade

An Acrolite is just as much as a Supraphonic? It's kind of tough to give you advise when your country has such fucked up pricing. There is a $120 price difference between those 2 snares drums where I live. I guess check out a pork pie little squealer or a tama SLP big black steel snare. I...

Lexicon Omega Not showing any mike inputs

If you are using a condenser mic then yes, the button marked +48v on the back would be the problem. It's been a decade since I had one but if I recall correctly you also have to assign the mic channels using the USB button on the front as well. Also the meter button would matter as well...
