Yeah I freaking love Cubase 10 pro

Under the menu called Transport you will see an option called "metronome setup." Also the shortcut to turn the click on and off is the key "C"

Yeah I freaking love Cubase 10 pro

I'll be doing new projects in C10, but still have a couple mixes I'm doing in 9.5

Yeah I freaking love Cubase 10 pro

It's an after thought, but I just remembered that adding new tracks is also fan freaking tastic. You can specify routing now in the new track window. A lot of the workflow things are "small" but noticeably faster/better. I find the GUI drag and drop VST selection to be one of the better ones...

Yeah I freaking love Cubase 10 pro

Easily the 3 best upgrades so far: -Selection of VST effects by a snapshot gui instead of just the name of the plugin. -Control room integrated into the mixer. -Cubase version of vocalign is pretty spot on. I have not messed with variaudio 3 but from the sounds of it, it too is a major...

I built a RAT and a Fuzz Factory.

I'm not aware of any tuner DIY projects, but maybe you could re-house one together with a Ross compressor or something?

I built a RAT and a Fuzz Factory.

Huh, I never realized how much that enclosure looks like a conduit box but I guess it does with those casting marks at the bottom like that. It's actually a 125B from Tayda, I went ahead and tried out thier pre-powder coated options and the powder coating is actually pretty good although there...

I built a RAT and a Fuzz Factory.

The Helios is a RAT clone. The buzz foundry is a fuzz factory clone. They are both not 100% true to the original clones though. The FF especially since I used different transistors that are (most likely) higher gain than the ones used in zvex fuzz factories. Video of the Rat. I don't...

    Cubase10 and Mackie MCU Pro

IIRC it's still supported. Mackie protocol is still pretty widely used.

Tube rectifiers VS solid state, ???

I think if I ever get another amp that uses a tube recto over a SSR I will yank the tube and plug in an SSR instead. The exception being if it was some kind of designated one trick pony clean amp.

    CubaseAl10 question

Yeah that sucks I have no idea why steinberg gave cubase 2 names with lite edition and advanced integration when they are exactly the same. It seems like AI is the new OEM or something, I don't know.

    CubaseAl10 question

You know I had the same issue when I updated LE. I like to keep it on hand to answer questions new people to cubase might have. I had to message steinberg to get the installer and I had to pay $10 to get the update to LE9. I have not bothered with LE10 as of yet.

    Bass Guitar (PJ Pickup) NOISE!

Fender American Jazz bass. Direct recording through a BBE Bmax preamp. Clips goes both pickups, bridge only pickup, neck only pickup, both for a short time again at the end. Bass.mp3

    Bass Guitar (PJ Pickup) NOISE!

I have a couple of Jazz basses and they are noisy, especially if you don't run both pickups full bore. Both have proper shielding, they are just susceptible to noise by nature of thier design.

Tube rectifiers VS solid state, ???

I can only speak from my experience of owning a dual rectifier. I think the benefit of tube v silicon is merely just sound although it's not as crazy of a difference as people make it out to be. I mean there is a difference, but it's not like it changes the amp into something else. The...

Tube rectifiers VS solid state, ???

I hate recto tubes. Silicon is my jam. Although I fully admit I prefer germanium when it comes to transistors for fuzz circuits.

Returning to Cubase after many years

My first machine I had to freeze all the dang time. It's was a powermac G4 laptop and it SUUUUUUUUUCKED, The powermac G5 and intel mac pro were both night and day better. And now that I'm on PC, I can't even remember the last time my workflow went that way.
