    bass DI's

what's wrong with the bluetube as a DI? I use mine as a bass DI and it works real well... you can get some real nice thick bass sounds by routing some signal through the toob; or some not-so-thick by keeping the toob out of the mix (use gain only, not drive)

    whos the most overrated drummer???????

this would be all fine and dandy if all of his sesssions were with the back street boys and vanilla ice or some other untalented lumps (or mediocre talent, as you put it)...but they were not. A good bit of his session work is/was with great musicians who demand the best from the musicians...

Art TPS Tube PRe or DMP-3

I think that it really depends on what you are looking for? a nice clean preamp (dmp3) or one that will color your sound a bit (art tps)? I don't know that the art tps will be too different from the art pre/compressor unit that you already have...other than the presets and built in limiter

How many mics do you mic your kit with? Name the mics.

Overheads: normally use a pair of Rode NT3s - sometimes I'll pull out a pair of Behringer ECM8000s snare - sm57 kick - beta52 also somtimes use an ecm8000 as a room mic (when using rodes as OHs)

    Hole-don

I've done this in the past and it can work - but if you don't cut perfectly - than you're bound to have tearing of the head.... plus - I think that the 'template' makes it look real 'purty

    help with delta1010LT monitoring

Go to the delta control panel, patchbay/router page and set outputs 1&2 to 'monitor mixer' - this will allow you to monitor all channels that are coming into/being played by the card using the 1&2 outs

    Hole-don

I've found that the best way is to use one of these: http://www.explorersdrums.com/product2115.html they're great because they not only provide a template for cutting a perfect circle, but they remain on the head and prevent any tearing, etc. of the drum head.

darkwillow - you have a delta44, right? well, so do I - and I've been able to record 4 tracks simultaneously on two different setups: celeron 500mhz with 256mb ram - I did have a few pops&clicks issues - but this was due to the motherboard that the chip was on (had a VIA chipset, which was a...

Mono or Stereo - advice wanted

"Is it possible in Cubase to record 2 different mono signals from one stereo plug." first thing, a stereo signal is really just 2 mono signals put together....having said that - the delta 44 has mono inputs, so you can record a stereo signal by routing the L and R channels into 2 of the delta...

    Picoloo toms And Picoloo Snares

Re: Thanx I have a 3x13 Pearl brass piccolo and it's real nice..it's a good sounding piccolo - particularly for the price! I use it as an auxilliary snare - I have it set up to my left side. It's definitely a 'specialty' type of sound that I wouldn't want to use as my normal snare. Having...
