    Tascam MTS1000 manual

Hey folks, Does anyone have a copy of the manual as a PDF? Also, I have a really comprehensive instructional VHS tape for the MTS1000 but I don't have a way to transfer video from a VCR to my computer. Does anyone have the means to do this? Want to help?! Thanks!!

    Tascam M-520 headphone pot replacement

I got the replacement pot and installed it. The master section of the mixer is crowded and a real PITA to work on, so let this serve as a warning to everyone else! Don't attempt to clean your mixer after coming home from the bar! ;)

    Tascam M-520 headphone pot replacement

TEAC sells the headphone pot for $5.82 each... which is cheap, so don't sweat it if you can't find the part in your workshop. Just let me know, I appreciate your help as always :)

    Tascam M-520 headphone pot replacement

I just sent the email so I haven't heard back from them on price. I'm guessing they group the Headphone and Solo pots together to make inventory easier... The headphone and solo pots are chassis mount, let me know what you turn up! Thanks!

    Tascam M-520 headphone pot replacement

Old thread... it took me a while to get around to this ;) I just inquired @ TEAC about a replacement headphone pot. The part number is 5282408500, which is for *two* pots. I could probably find a replacement at an electronics supply store but I'm going with the 'official' Tascam spare. I'll...

Recapped my Tascam M520, thoughts on putting Humpty Dumpty back together...

Yeah, in hindsight replacing each section while leaving the rest intact for testing purposes would have been the smarter way about it! It seems like it should be a straightforward operation. I've been dreading putting it back together... all those tiny little connectors, I know I'll be cutting...

Recapped my Tascam M520, thoughts on putting Humpty Dumpty back together...

FWIW, I replaced the capacitors with the same values, etc as the original. No 'hot-rodding' took place. Except there's one cap whose value in the parts list is different from the one installed at the factory, and that one was replaced with a cap of the same value as the one installed.

Recapped my Tascam M520, thoughts on putting Humpty Dumpty back together...

Hey folks, I've largely been away from the forum, my budget and situation have forced me away from audio projects. However, back in December, I pulled apart my M520 and began recapping it as well as the PSU. That project is 99% done, I have one small card left in the Master section to recap and...

Ghost, that last picture you posted, the 'retro' one, looks like it should be the graphical interface for a Universal Audio plugin :) that looks great!

I'm kind of bummed, and here's why.

Hey, I would like to politely suggest that this thread be closed to new posts, just 'cause I feel like we've addressed everything we need to here. Just my opinion. I kinda just don't want this thread to keep floating around since I think I got my point across well enough :)

See, that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about! This is a small enough forum that I think we can all agree to not be d-cks to each other!!! :) :)

I want to say to EVERYone who read my complaint or chimed in, THANK YOU. I was honestly pretty disappointed and was considering just forgetting this site entirely. The Analog Only forum is the only section of this site that I read and I'm glad that everyone here wants to make it a better...
