Try this. I didn't draw doors but you get the idea. Pink stuff is absorbers and I put some extra across the front window the control room. some of the red lines are stud walls.
I'd just like to add that while my TU-2 can be dead-on accurate, my current guitars are all out of whack so, I use the TU-2 to put me in the ballpark of "in tune" and use my ears to do any fine adjustments. Tuners are great, but you should have good enough ears to hear the difference between in...
Rez. I feel your pain. I used to be in a band and our budget was next to nothing. Sound suffered and the rehearsal vibe was seldom warm and fuzzy. The only suggestions I can offer you are Personal Monitor Systems and "be the boss".
In-ear monitoring can totally transform your room...
Sounds like you've got all the tools you need to come out of this alright. Congrats. Hope the PC is everything that he said it was. Did the mom confirm what he was selling?
Why call? I say show up at his door step with proof of purchase demanding the PC or the cash back. Of course, you have to live remotely close to each other for that but maybe when he sees what lengths honest people will go to to keep from being screwed, he'll wise up.
Well, the TU-2 isn't THAT noticable or I would've noticed it. Boss is a stompbpx staple and if you can't be happy with a TU-2, you're a wicked gear snob. :D
I put it first in the chain so, what you hear is what you get. I've never encountered this problem before. I'll pay closer attention and post what I find out.
As long as you hit the wooden rafter (stud) with a nice long deck or drywall screw then it won't be coming down. EZ has the best and probably most versatile method. It's what I'd do if I did ceiling mounted mic stands.
So you've got a mackie 32/8 and a Tascam DM-24? What would you sell the mackie for?
I'd probably keep them both because one may crap out on you and it'd be nice to have a spare. OTOH, if you could get a grand out of the mackie, you could get a nice highend mic or pre to use instead of the...
So you have at least $500 to spend or you wouldn't be considering the RNP. So, I suggest you go ahead and buy the 500 series rack and power supply. Then, save up another $500 - $1000 for whatever preamps you want to load into it. The 500 series format is getting more popular with several...
Well, I'm a staunch opponent of Behringer products. I guess if you need one really bad for really cheap and don't care for quality, either would work. People 'round here promote Rane and M-Audio as an alternative. Do a search. You'll get loads of info on the cheaper alts.
Are you sure they're wasn't a wireless mic involved somwhere? I saw Jewel play a song on "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" last night and she was doing the same thing and I can only guess that she had a hidden wireless mic on or a boom mic overhead out of camera shot or the audio was compressed...
OK. What I meant was... the seller gnr_fan789 only has 147 transactions to his name and his rep was at 99.3. I consider that a red flag. I mean there's sellers with thousands of transactions and don't have rep that bad. Understand?
Anyway it doesn't matter since you got a different mixer.
I bought mine off ebay new in a sealed box. The only complaints I have are the midi jacks are a bit flimzy. And my LRC fastforwards when it's supposed to rewind sometimes but, I usually don't use it since the HD24 is at my fingertips. Still a freaking awesome machine though.
