I do a little vocal demo work. Typically I will rehearse the song so I know it and then I will lay down four or five lead vocal tracks. I usually use the last or second to the last one because I've gotten rolling by then. Maybe 45% of the time I use the track I select without punch-ins or comps...

I think this is very true. At least for me. I had a funny experience once. I had knee surgery and was prescribed vicodin as a pain killer. I would take one of these at nite before going to bed. I found I really enjoyed these and they seemed to open up my creativity. In fact, I got to enjoy them...

From your post it sounds like you have written a lot of individual and not necessarily related verses and choruses. To try to piece these together may not be your best bet. A verse and a chorus in a song should generally work together as a single unit. And generally that means that the chorus...
