I like the idea of miking acoustic guitars. For one you have a broad range of tones you can get just by positioning the mike in different places. Also by miking you let the guitar "breathe" and give the notes time to develop out the soundhole. Try a AKG 3000 mike they soung great for acoustics...

Check out the Dragon's section on making patchbays, very informative. Question though, they only cost around seventy toeighty bucks so why go through the hassle unless your building a very small one. Remember in the future you might have more equipment you want to hook-up through this patchbay.

Hi Just a thought on your layout on the tracks. It might be better to put the drums on trk 1 instead of two. Might stop any nasty bleed through. You now have the vocals between the drums and bass, two big noise makers. Just a thought

Got an idea for ya! Since tape degrades and is subject to heat and magnetic damage, how about you dump the mixdown from your deck directley to a CD burner or CD mini-disc? I was in your situation and opted for the CD burner. That way you are saving you work to a higher medium than cassette tape...

I agree with Spin. I also have the Alesis SR-16. All he says is true. You can also find a beat you like then change to a infinate number of drum sets each with their own sound.
