Yo Glen:
MANY MANY thanks to you and taking time on a holiday to let me know what you think.
I can't believe that some freak high intensity volts popped the Song turn on box.
My vendor who is a pretty smart dude said it could go one way or another. I'm just happy that no body got hurt...
[B] A sudden storm popped OUT my Yamaha AW1600 power plug.
I know it's a holiday; however, I'm sure someone can give me some information.
I have a new Yam plug on the way and will get here in a few days.
My large puzzle is: WILL THE YAM TURN ON WHEN I turn on the new plug?
Or...
Yo Deaaaath by Darth:
Sounds like you're using "mini-plugs?" Are they stereo? Is the adaptor stereo? Could be a problem there. If not, sounds like a bad wire. If not that, something isn't pushing out the watts.
Almost all phone plugs are stereo. A mono plug might get you something but...
Yea, verily:
And, Besides all of "that," Do you need to use a "stereo" 1/4 plug?
You need to pick up the sound coming OUT someplace. Like Blue Bear Said, " What goes IN must come out!

Yo Gal with Rhythm and the BR:Call SWEETWATER--free call.* Ask a techie about how to get your reverb into the vocal. In most units, you can add the reverb when mixing and pump or dump it to your the desires of your ears.** I speak of studios in a box; however, the PC systems work about the same...
Amen! A while back in Chicago, I had the distinct pleasure to hear a "waitress" working where I was a bartender. She was an "oldie" I guess by many terms. Her name was Bee Harold and she had a wonderful voice. She sang with no music, no backup and she was still great.
I've heard another...
Yo TToler:
Like, don't do any FX until you are mixing the tracks. Depending on the vocal input, you may need a touch of reverb; then, again, maybe you won't. I would guess that you would since almost EVERYONE who sings uses the reverb function--it just enhances the hell out of a vocal...
:DYo sun-tan music people:
If I'm not mistaken, The PGA is a "non-profit" organization. Major league baseball is also non-profit; and it could be so is the oblong ball sport--footsball.
It figures when they announce how many millions are given to various charities.
Don't know about major...
:cool:Yo TTG:
Just a wild guess on my part but, if you're working with WINDOWS, you may need to get your DEVICE MANAGER to recognize any new "devices."
I've had that problem a few times. But, I may be way off base too.
Good luck.

Yo Night of the Triffids:
Why not try the track with NO reverb? If that doesn't work, maybe "stage reverb?"
Drum patches today usually have enough reverb. If you are doing "live" drums, I'm not sure if you need any added reverb if you have a decent room.
Sometimes it might take 12...
:cool:Yo Happy Head:
Well, "headroom" is part of the quality of gear you use to record. Bouncing the sound levels up to the "edge" of clipping works most of the time.
It depends on what track you wish to dominate the mix. There is no formula to jazzing up the mix. It is a product of your...
:cool:Yo Heavy-duty Tylenol:
The RNC is a nice unit. Price is reasonable new. I don't deal with used gear as I don't know how much beer was spilled in it.
As for reverb, there are some very inexpensive models and you just need to patch it in to your recorder or track that you want...
If you can locate Paul Humphries, who used to play with the Welk band, he is great.
We were in the Navy together and did gigs within the party-structure of the Military. Could not do local gigs -- union rules.
Don't know where Paul is these days but would sure like to know if anybody out...
Yo TYLENOL WITH CODEIN:}
Yea, verily::rolleyes:
I had a couple of 488s--it is possible to do some nice work with one of those. You will need an outboard box for reverbing tracks. Lots available for various prices.
I guess the RNC is a modest-priced compressor, [I have one] new and even less...
 Yo G-Tar ZERO:I'm glad somebody also recognizes the "PEZZUTO" equation.Over the years I've bought many things; however, I cannot remember buying a German made product that wasn't class A.* I bought this little kiddy-car once for one of my nephews and thought I needed help in its...
:D Yo Gnostic:
A while back, I had some KRK passives w/8" woofers; they did a nice job. Then, I got the Event SP 8" woofers; they are still plugged into my studio. But, the ADAM A7s which were my first active pair of monitors are very good.
IMHO I don't think you'd have to upgrade from the...
:D Yo Brian:
I imagine you might find a Tascam 488 8 tracker out there. I used to use one but eventually went to where you don't want to go.
With the Yam unit I have now, I can burn a FULL CD from the HD in about 9 minutes. Time is valuable for everyone.
I got some nice sounds...
Yo Trump:
I was using a Yam 2816 and one of the "buttons" kind of broke through the plastic overlay or underlay. Since I was familiar with the Yam platform, I ordered the 1600.
It used to take me over an hour to burn a full CD from the HD with the 2816.
With the AW1600, I can burn a full CD...
